Let’s Shake Things Up!
We at ondefence have a simple goal: to teach as many women as possible simple (but highly effective!) techniques to stop a violent attack or rape attempt using her own two hands. We think it’s every woman’s right to know how to save her life or protect her sexuality.
The moves we teach are fundamentally simple. Eye + Finger = Stop Attack/Stop Rape.
There are no fancy choreographed routines. Just simple movements everyone can do, easy to understand fighting techniques and the will to direct an action to stop a violent attack or rape attempt.
Our aim is to carve a new path in self defense, an approach that’s never been seen. Most organizations position themselves as fighting against violence against women. At ondefence, we’ve realized there’s far more power in fighting FOR something than fighting against anything. That’s why you won’t find the usual dark images and fear-based messages on our site. We’re squarely focused on what we WANT – not on what we don’t want.
It’s widely known and accepted that predatory types seek weak appearing victims; people that look like they wouldn’t put up much of a fight. Strong, confident women pass under their radar. Our goal is to create MORE of those women – because when you truly know that you possess the power in your own two hands to stop an attack; when you’ve physically practiced and walked through the uncomfortable parts and had that “ah ha” moment you radiate a confidence that tells the world you know how to take care of yourself. You’re no one’s easy target. And that’s our wish for you; that you learn to protect yourself so that you never have to.
Look, we understand the REAL solution to violence against women is evolving as a species to a point where men wouldn’t even THINK about using their strength and power against women. Is that kind of change possible? We think it is. But that kind of change takes time. And in the meantime, women continue to be raped and one more law or piece of legislation just won’t cut it. How many rapists do you think are going to stop just because you tell them what they’re doing is against the law? Answer? None. On the other hand, how many rapists would stop, at least momentarily, once you’ve lodged your finger into the back of his eye socket? Answer? My money’s on most. We’re not saying laws aren’t important, we just think until things change, more immediate measures are necessary.
Introducing ondefence, a collection of simple moves and self defense principles designed to arm women everywhere with easy to learn tools to stop violence or rape with as little as one finger; our ‘hands on ‘ solution to stopping violence against women.
Let’s shake things up. Let’s level the field. Let’t give women a fighting chance. The more women that know how to save their own lives and stop rape, the closer we get to sending rapists where they belong. Back to the dark ages. Join the movement. Learn for yourself and pass it on.
